Design Leaders Community
There’s been massive change in the Design world over the last couple of years, leading to new opportunities for designers (and the greater product development community). We’re hoping to help businesses realize these opportunities through the launch of Glissade Design, but we’ve also joined a peer group that’s caught fire this year: DesignLeaders (link).
Their mission: “Uniting diverse and passionate individuals and create an exceptional peer-to-peer design and innovation leadership community, catered specifically for top-level leaders. Through open communication, shared knowledge, and collective problem-solving, we drive excellence in innovation and design, with the aim of shaping industries, transforming societies, and creating a better future for all.”
Some of the discussions have really helped us advance our thinking about how design is evolving. The diverse views about the use of AI in design is enabling a shared understanding of the risks and opportunities in a way that just wouldn’t be possible without a forum such as this. Despite the relative newness of this organization, it might have the strongest lineup of any design leadership community since the heyday of the Industrial Design Society of America. We’re thrilled to be part of it.
